The Positive Approach to Care Seminar is focused on providing a dynamic, collaborative forum for all healthcare professionals across the spectrum of long-term care, by providing 3 free CE’s for nurses, licensed social workers, and psychologists. This educational seminar is also open to memory care directors, CNAs, caregivers, families and anyone else who seeks to learn more about dementia.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Beth Nolan, works alongside Teepa Snow by training advocating and offering techniques used by professionals and families working or living with dementia or other brain changes. Dr. Nolan received her PhD in applied gerontology from the University of Kansas, holds master’s degrees in Human Development and Applied Behavior Analysis and completed her post-doctoral training in geriatric psychiatry at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh. For 20 years, she worked with a variety of human services agencies to translate and implement evidence-based programs for behavioral health, criminal justice, medicine and senior living.
